Here are some simple tips to help you express yourself clearly and confidently:

1. Use gestures naturally
Gestures can make your speech more dynamic and help you communicate meaning even if you forget a word. Use your hands to emphasize ideas, but don’t exaggerate — keep it natural. You can check how I move during our lessons on camera and try to copy me.

2. Maintain good eye contact
Look at your examiner while speaking. It shows confidence and helps create a connection. Avoid looking down or away too much. If you are shy, look at the space between their eyes. It will feel like you were staring them in the eye.

3. Speak clearly and at a steady pace
Don’t rush! Take a moment to think before answering. It’s better to pause briefly than to fill silence with “umm.” Try expressions like “pues, entonces, es decir” instead of “umm”. Learn more about them in my lessons.

4. Use facial expressions
A smile or a look of surprise makes your communication more expressive. It also helps your message sound more authentic and emotional. You have eyebrows. Use them.

5. Show you’re listening
Nod, react to what the examiner says, and use short phrases like “sí,” “claro,” or “entiendo.” This shows good interaction skills.

6. Don’t fear mistakes
Examiners value your communication efforts. If you forget a word, describe it using other words or examples instead of staying silent.
